Audit & Assurance
The backgrounds of our founding directors have their foundations in public sector auditing. Our technical auditing skills were developed and honed in the Australian National Audit Office under two Auditor-Generals. These auditing skills were put to the test in the private sector, where our Directors established and successfully ran an audit practice in a mid-tier consulting firm for fifteen years.
Aitch Advisory provides a wide range of audit and assurance services to both the public and private sectors including:

- ICT auditing. This includes cyber security auditing (compliance with the ‘Essential Eight’, the Protective Security Policy Framework, and the Australian Government’s Information Security Manual)

Aitch Advisory also has extensive experience reviewing and benchmarking internal audit functions against world’s best practice including the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Global Audit Information Network Survey.
Risk management
Aitch Advisory’s staff and partners have extensive experience in not only reviewing organisation risk frameworks and controls, but also developing and implementing risk culture, systems and processes. All of our staff and partners have extensive knowledge and experience of the risk management standards, better risk management practice including regulatory compliance risk differential models used by Australian Government agencies.
Aitch Advisory provides a wide range of risk management advisory services including:

- developing strategies for embedding a risk management culture in organisations
- completing comprehensive risk assessments, including running risk workshops

Probity & procurement
The staff at Aitch Advisory have extensive probity and procurement experience, having worked on some of the most complicated and sensitive procurements undertaken by the Australian Government including: the Australian visa reform program; Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program tender process; Christmas Island Casino redevelopment, and the Smart Cities and Suburbs grant program. Both Aitch Advisory Directors have extensive practical knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines.
Aitch Advisory provides a wide range of probity and procurement advisory services including:
- developing probity strategies and plans for complex and sensitive procurements and grants programs
- conducting probity briefings for staff managing procurements and grants programs. This includes participation in tender and grant briefings to industry and the public
- providing probity advice as official probity advisors. This includes the provision of timely advice on probity issues that arise during procurements and grants programs, and observing procurement and grant evaluation programs
- conducting probity and procurement audits.
Financial management advice
The staff at Aitch Advisory have accounting backgrounds and have provided high quality financial and commercial advice to Australian Government and private sector organisations for over 25 years. This advice covers a broad range of subjects, including:
- financial analysis and modelling
- the financial viability of businesses associated with Australian Government entities (including grants, procurements and government initiatives)
- reviewing whether financial advice provided to Australians complies with relevant legislation (including the Corporations Act 2001)
- providing financial advice on large and complex contracts and strategies (including Public / Private Partnerships (PPPs))
- strategic, operational and financial review of organisations
- assessing Australian Government entity compliance with the Australian Government Financial Framework.
